London Broncos remained as the standout side in the Betfred Championship. The Broncos conceded inside the opening minute, however, they scored 84 unanswered points on the road at Swinton. Morea Morea scored four tries during the 15 try drubbing of the Lions.
Round Four kicked off on Friday evening with Oldham hosting Widnes Vikings. With the game evenly poised last on, Ryan Ince’s second of the evening saw Allan Coleman’s side snatch the victory late on.
Saturday’s action got underway in West Yorkshire as Dewsbury hosted Goole Vikings. The closely fought affair was decided nine minutes from time, as Callum Shaw went over in the corner to give Scott Taylor’s Vikings a 16-14 success.
Also on Saturday, Barrow saw their 100% record ended in the Steel City. The Raiders fell behind inside the first five minutes before hitting the front. Three tries in reply for the hosts saw Sheffield go to two victories from as many matches in the Betfred Championship.
Bureta Faraimo made an immediate impact on his Hunslet debut. The former Hull FC man scored five tries as Hunslet defeated Rochdale Hornets 42-6 at the Crown Oil Arena.
Midlands made it a third consecutive success, as they defeated Batley Bulldogs at Avery Field. In-form winger Matty Chrimes scored twice in the 30-12 win. Brandon Moore, Todd Horner and Sully Medforth were also on the scoresheet for the Hurricanes.
North Wales Crusaders made the long trip up to Newcastle worthwhile with a 30-20 success against Newcastle Thunder.
Experienced winger Patrick Ah Van was on the scoresheet twice for the visitors as well as a brace from Luke Forber.
Keighley Cougars bucked their trend of late winners with a dominant home display against Whitehaven. The Cougars ran in nine tries, with Izaac Farrell scoring the pick of the bunch at Cougar Park.
